GATE VALVES
are most commonly used as shutoff valves in industry
today. They are used where minimum pressure drop and
bi-directional on-off service is required, and are not
designed for throttling service. Prolonged use in the
partially open position is likely to damage seating
surfaces. Gate valves are available with different wedge
configurations (solid, flexible and split) to meet specific
service conditions. Normally gate valves are provided
with flexible wedges unless otherwise asked for. Valves
with class 150lb & 300lb ratings in sizes up to
300m are normally handwheel operated. Sizes 350mm and
above in class 150lb & 300lb ratings are gear operated.
Class 600lb valves are handwheel operated in sizes up
to 200mm and gear operated from 250mm and above. Gate
valves can also be fitted with a range of electric actuators.

GLOBE VALVES are normally installed with flow and pressure
under the plug or disc. These valves are by directional
and are used mainly for throttling application. Prolonged
throttling at less than 10% open is not recommended
due to the possibility of excessive vibration, noise
and damage to disc and seats. Where globe valves are
being used as a bypass valve, the pressure class rating
of globe valve must be at least equal to that of the
pipeline or valve where it is going to be installed.
Globe valve plug is designed for quick opening but can
also be fitted with regulating plug of any configuration
to meet specific service condition. Globe valves are
normally handwheel operated up to 10” for class
150lb, up to 6” for class 300 and 600. Gear operated
from 12” and above for class 150 and 8”
and above for class 300 and 600. Valves can be supplied
with electric actuators on request.

Swing check valves are used
to prevent flow reversal in piping system. These valves
are suitable for horizontal and vertical applications.
Swing check valves have low pressure drop and are best
suited for moderate velocity applications. Correct sizing
of swing check valve is important. Either too low line
velocity OR too high velocity can affect the valve performance
and damage valve internals and may shorten valve life.
Service in systems involving rapid and frequent flow
reversals, pulsation or turbulent flow should be avoided.
Swing check valves are manufactured with flanged ends
upto class 600 as per standard ASME B16.10 and ASME
B16.5 respectively for face to face distance and flange
dimensions. For pressure class 900 and above. Swing
check valves are manufactured as per standard ASME b16.10
and B16.25 respectively for face-to-face distance (short
pattern) and butt weld dimensions.
Swing check valves are supplied with lever and counter
weight from sizes 14” and above for class 150
and for class 300 and 600. Dash spot arrangement on
customer request.

Dual Plate Check Valve
Body Materials: A216 GrWCB, A351 GrCF8
Disc Materials: A216 GrWCB, A351 GrCF8
Design Standards: API 6D / API 594/ API598 Size Range:
ANSI Class 150 : 2" To 40"
ANSI Class 300 : 2" To 24"
ANSI Class 600 : 2" To 24"
Compact Wafer Design Extremely light
weight and economical compared with traditional flanged
type, swing-check valve. The sensitive spring incorporated
in the valve closes the valve plate before reverse flow
occurs thus preventing water hammer and giving complete
pipe line protection even in the high head installations.
The valve is compact thus saving space and simplifying
installation, and can be installed in any position and
at any angle thus allowing rationalized piping layout.
Long Service Life:
Dual-check valves incorporate teflon spring bearings
to minimize spring wear and assure long service life. Smooth Operation:
Teflon Bearings minimize friction for smooth valve plate
operation. Tight Seal:
Shock-easening and tight sealing effect ensured by resilient
seat
